Mr. Flanagan’s
experience in the valuation and compliance business has helped build
National Tax Search. In addition to providing financial backing
during the company’s initial start-up phase, this affiliation has
allowed both companies to provide streamlined services for real
estate transactions from beginning to end in both the commercial and
residential markets.
Currently, Mr.
Flanagan serves as the Managing Partner of a nationwide property tax law firm, FlanaganΙBilton,
who continues to represent clients on property tax matters for over
40 years. The Chicago-based firm of experienced attorneys and tax
consultants provides comprehensive services customized
to the property tax requirements of individual portfolios. Prior to
entering private practice, the founding partners accumulated 25
years of state and local government services.
The company’s
combined experience covers state and local government property
valuations, ad valorem tax appeals, tax sales, trial and appellate level
litigation, certified appraisals and other legal matters concerning
property taxes. The
firm represents more than 1,000 clients including real estate investment trusts, banks,
insurance companies, pension funds and REITs with nationwide
properties.
Mr. Flanagan graduated from Loyola
University, received his Juris Doctor degree from Chicago-Kent
College of Law and was admitted into the Bar in 1963. Mr. Flanagan
is a member of industry organizations such as The Chicago Bar
Association, American Bar Association, and the International
Association of Assessing Officers.
