Carol Barnett, Manager of Title and Settlement Services
Ms. Barnett has over 20 years of combined property tax management, mortgage servicing and title reporting experience. She began her property tax related career as a note teller, subsequently moving on to property tax management and mortgage banking prior to joining National Tax Search in April 2005. In her previous positions, Ms. Barnett was responsible for obtaining and reporting tax information, researching and reconciling property tax escrow related issues and overseeing the tax research unit for one of the nations largest mortgage subservicers.
In her current position, Ms. Barnett manages the day-to-day operations in the Title and Settlement Services department including elevated loan level inquiries, global issues, claims, customer service and client related inquiries. In addition, Ms. Barnett also reviews and enhances policies and procedures, conducts training within the department, works with the sales team to review and determine pricing trends and product upgrades, monitors and administers quality control checks and serves as the client manager liaison between title and settlement services clients and all applicable departments within NTS. Ms. Barnett is also the current account manager for multiple vendors utilized in the tax research function by NTS.
Ms. Barnett attended Elgin Community College and is a certified notary in the state of Illinois. Ms. Barnett is also a member of the National Association for Female Executives and a member of industry organizations such as the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). |
